Free training program to become an emergency medical technician (EMT), the people who drive ambulances and respond to medical emergencies. Program is 15 months, 6 of which is a full-time commitment with a stipend. Must have a license and driving record in good standing. EMT salary is $63,000. JVS Pharmacy Technician Training
JVS offers a free 12-week, full-time training program that prepares students to pass the pharmacy tech certification exam. Upon completion of the exam, trainees are eligible to work as a pharmacy tech in retail or healthcare. See here for further info.

MassBioEd Apprenticeships
MassBioEd offers free apprenticeship programs in the life sciences. Programs include Biomanufacturing Technician, Laboratory Support Specialist, and Clinical Support Specialist. Duet - SNHU
A great opportunity to earn an Associate's degree (2 year degree) while remote and on your own time. Instead of sitting in class, Duet students complete projects on their own time with personalized coaching. Degrees offered in business management, healtcare management, and communication. Bioversity
Bioversity offers a free 8-week workforce training program in lab work to prepare residents for entry-level positions at local life science companies that start at $25/hr plus benefits. They will be offering the course for five sessions in 2024. Training will be in-person in Dorchester, Mon-Thu, 9am-3pm. See here for more info and application.
MassHire - Healthcare
On their website, MassHire has an updated list of training programs and jobs in the health field in the Boston Area. Offerings include Certified Nurse Assistant training, Sterile Processing Technician training (people who make sure everything is sanitized correctly), and others.
JVS - Biotechnology Manufacturing Associate
A free in-person 8-week training course that trains you to become an associate in Biotech manufacturing. Classes are held Fridays and Saturdays at their training lab in Boston.
